Ants' Howard Wins NBADL Co-MVP

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Fort Wayne guard Ron Howard has been named the NBA Development League Co-Most Valuable Player Award for the 2013-14 season.

Howard won the award along with former Iowa Energy guard/forward Othyus Jeffers, who now plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Howard and Jeffers were voted Co-MVPs by the 17 D-League coaches.

Howard, a D-League All-Star, averaged a career best 20.5 points per game for the Ants. He added 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

Howard, who played collegiately at Valparaiso, also won the Jason Collier Sportsmanship Award earlier this month.
