UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Former South Side and Purdue star Bernard Pollard, now a Houston Texans safety, has been fined $40,000 by the NFL for what was called an unnecessary roughness hit against Tennessee a week ago.

Pollard gave the hit to Titans wide receiver Justin Gage late in the fourth quarter, and part of it included a helmet to helmet connection.
