SOUTH BEND (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Max Matthews threw for 246 yards and ran for 108 yards with a pair of touchdowns as South Bend St. Josephs rallied from an early 7-0 deficit to down Leo 27-7 at the 3A semi-state Friday night in South Bend.

Ryan Leiter's 38 yard scoring pass to Gage Corner put the Lions in front early, but St. Joe got things rolling in spite of having three of Matthews' passed picked off by Leo.

It was on one of those interceptions the Leo lost standout back Kyle Marzec to a knee injury.

St. Joe will meet Indianapolis Chatard for the 3A state title next Saturday.
