INDIANAPOLIS. Ind. (21 Alive) - Mr. Basketball frontrunner Trevon Bluiett and the Park Tudor Panthers won their third 2A state boys basketball state championships in four seasons Saturday with an 84-57 win over Westview Saturday
Bluiett had 38 points and twelve rebounds, leading a Park Tudor attack that set a 2A record with 56.4 percent shooting from the floor, including a record 14 3-pointers in 27 attempts.
Park Tudor's 27-point margin of victory also set a 2A mark.
For Westview, Chandler Aspy led the way with 19 points and Jordyn Bontrager had ten.
Coach Rob Yoder's Westview team, which was unrated, finished 23-5.
Following the game, Jamar Weaver of Westview was named winner of the Arthur L. Trester Mental Attitude Award in Class 2A Boys Basketball.
Weaver ranks 17th in his senior class, has been a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Club and is scheduled to be a part of a mission trip this summer with the New Life Fellowship. Besides basketball, he will play his fourth year of baseball this spring and played three years of tennis for the Warriors.
