UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - South Side, Bishop Luers, and Canterbury will play on in the Indiana girls high school basketball tournament after winning regional titles on Saturday, while Concordia's season is over.
Ariana Simmons tallied 22 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in leading South Side to a 71-55 win over Logansport in the 4A Kokomo Regional final.
South needed an overtime win over Westville in the semifinals to even make the night game where they took out the team that sent Snider packing in the semifinals.
The Archers will meet Warsaw at semi-state.
Concordia dropped a 65-62 decision in the 3A Bellmont Regional final to Hamilton Heights, despite 30 points from Courtney Smith.
Olivia Hahn added eleven for the Cadets, and it was Hahn who put Concordia in the final with a 40 footer buzzer beating three pointer to down NorthWood in the semifinals, where Hamilton Heights advanced with a win over Norwell.
Bishop Luers scored a pair of one sided wins to cop the 2A Rochester Regional, topping it off with 67-40 rout of Boone Grove led by the 23 points of Tashayla Sutorius and 15 more from Allison Butler.
Luers, which blasted Westview in the semifinals, will meet Eastern at semi-state,
Canterbury rolled through another 1A Caston Regional with their 79-54 whipping of Oregon-Davis in the championship game as Darby Maggard clicked for 23 points and Kindell Fincher 17.
The Lady Cavs take on Lafayatte Central Catholic at semi-state.
