Norwell, Canterbury Girls Reach Semi-State (VIDEO)

UNDATED (21 Alive) - Norwell and Canterbury won girls basketball regional titles Saturday night to reach semi-state action next weekened.

Norwell won the school's first girls semi-state title since 1977 with theur 61-52 win over Muncie Central at the 3A Bellmont Regional final.

Kaycee Strunk had 24 points and Stephanie Conrad added 14 for the Lady Knights, who will meet Western at semi-state.

Canterbury raced past Westview 77-52 at the final of the 2A Rensselaer Central Regional, led by Kindell Fincher's 27 points and 25 more from Darby Maggard.

That followed a 76-64 win over Hammond Noll in the afternoon semifinals, again led by Fincher and Maggard with 30 and 25 points respectively.

Canterbury will meet Tipton at semi-state.
