Northrop Outlasts Luers, Snider Blasts South, Wayne Wins Big Again (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (21Alive) - Northrop topped Luers in overtime Friday night, while Snider and Wayne posted lopsided home high school football wins.

Northrop edged Bishop Luers 14-13 in overtime when Luers had a bad snap on its extra point after an overtime touchdown following a Northrop touchdown and extra point.

C.J. McCarter had run in the Knights go ahead score in the final minute of regulation, only to have Mike Snyder and Aaron Thomas connect on a long scoring pass for the Bruins to force overtime

Colton Painter scored on two short touchdown runs, Anthony Wilkes returned a kickoff 70 yards for a score, and Jesse Bates brought back an interception 18 yards to paydirt as Snider trounced South Side 38-6.

Donovan Clark ran for 52 yards and the Archers' lone score.

DeQuaveus Williams ran for three touchdowns and 93 yards, while Jalen Thomas tossed two touchdown passes as Wayne moved to 2-0 with their 39-13 win over Kokomo.
