Northrop, Columbia City In 4A DeKalb Final

WATERLOO (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Columbia City and Northrop won their way into the final of the 4A DeKalb Sectional with semifinal wins on Friday night.

Derek Hinen had 22 points and Drew Benedict 13 as Columbia City ousted North Side 66-56.

Andy Bachman led North with 16 points while Quilyn Howard-Upshaw added twelve.

Brenton Scott hit for 25 points, including the one thousandth of his career, in leading Northrop past stubborn Carroll 60-54.

The Bruins also got eleven from Bryson Scott, and had a key late 17-5 run to pull out the win.

Chandler White paced Carroll with 13 points.
