New Haven, Northrop, Homestead Open With Boys Hoops Wins; Wednesday Night Scores

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - New Haven, Northrop, and Homestead opened their boys basketball seasons with wins on Wednesday night.

V.J. Beacham hit for 25 points in his and coach Al Gooden's debuts at New Haven as the Bulldogs pounded Woodlan 80-42.

Kyle Sovine added 16 for the Builldogs while Alex Emenhiser led Woodlan with 14.

Bryson Scott tallied 14 of his 19 points in the third quarter to spark Northrop's 71-46 win over DeKalb.

Adison Daub of the Barons topped all scorers with 20 points.

Nick Gamble hit for 20 points and Zach Terrell 17 in Homestead's 85-71 opening night success at Huntington North.

Levi Lawson led five Vikings in double figures with 15 points.
