Luers And Homestead Girls, Luers And Canterbury Boys Reach Soccer Semi-States

UNDATED (21 Alive) - The Bishop Luers and Homestead girls and the Luers and Canterbury boys kept their soccer seasons alive with regional title wins on Saturday.

The 1A third ranked Luers girls got three goals and two assists from Addie Reimbold and two goals and three assists from Shayna Coy in their 8-1 win over Eastbrook, which sends the Lady Knights to semi-state at Argos next Saturday against Wheeler.

2A 16th rated Homestead scored off a corner kick in overtime when a DeKalb player put a clearing pass into her own net and the Lady Spartans took a 1-0 regional win from the Lady Barons, and Homestead advanced to semi-state at South Bend St. Joe next Saturday.

1A second rated Luers bested No. 8 Blackhawk Christian 3-2 in the regional final at Garrett, which puts the Knights in the semi-state at Laville next Saturday.

in 2A, Jacob Fritz and Britt Watts had the goals in 21st rated Canterbury's 2-1 win over No. 16 DeKalb at the Carroll Regional, which puts the Cavs in the Warsaw semi-state.
