Jaylon Smith Accepts Butkus Award From Award Namesake

FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - Jaylon Smith on Saturday received the Butkus Award as the best high school linebacker in the country from the man it is named for, Dick Butkus.

The College and Pro Football Hall of Famer was in Fort Wayne Saturday to present the honor to Smith, who was named its fifth winner eleven days earlier.

The presentation came at a special convocation in the Bishop Luers auditorium.

Smith won four state football titles as a Luers Knight and is headed to Notre Dame next fall.
