Heritage, Northrop, Homestead Friday Night Winners; South, North Lead in Delayed Games

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Heritage, Northrop, and Homestead completed high school football wins Friday night, while South Side and North Side look to finish off wins Saturday due to weather issues.

Wil Knapke ran for 227 yards and three touchdowns and Brenton Lockett scored three times with 103 yards on the ground in Heritage's 35-0 win over South Adams.

South Side has a 20-18 lead on Concordia in a game that will be resumed at noon Saturday after being called by weather close to midnight Friday night.

Colin Brockhouse threw for what proved to be the game winning touchdown late in the second quarter as Northrop beat Bishop Dwenger 16-10 for the Bruins' first win over the Saints since 2003.

North Side will try to wrap up a win at Wayne, a game that they led 19-9 in the third when weather halted the game, when play resumes at 11am Saturday.

Grayson Bastin ran for three touchdowns, Frank Martin ran for 100 yards and had a touchdown catch, and Homestead intercepted seven Columbia City passes in handing the Eagles a 41-6 home defeat.
