Gooden and Johnson Win Coach of Year

Fort Wayne (Indiana's NewsCenter)- Al Gooden of New Haven and Homestead's Chris Johnson have been named the IBCA coaches of the year for District 1.

Gooden led the Bulldogs to a 17-4 record in his first year in New Haven.

Johnson went 23-3 with a Homestead team that won the NHC and a Sectional title. This is the second time Johnson has won the award bringing it home in 2010 as well. Johnson will also be an assistant for the Indiana All-Star team that will take on Kentucky in early June.
