FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- The major inside force for the NHC leading Homestead Spartans, Junior forward Carmen Lowe, is the Indiana's NewsCenter girls basketball player of the week.

The 5-10 Junior has big a big part of the well rounded attack the Spartans put out on the floor each night, and last week had a special game.

19 points and ten rebounds as the Spartans won impressively over Summit Athletic Conference Co-leader Snider.

Carmen can do it inside, has the nice touch outside, can rebound, but does have one big area she wants to work on.

Homestead gets 12 points and eight rebounds on the average night from Carmen, who says she is better from a lot of summer ball and conditioning.

She's ready for whatever defense she sees, and her versatility make opponents have to work.

Carmen's goal this year, be more consistent herself, and help the spartans finish the deal and win the NHC, and then do well in the postseason.
