EASLEY, SOUTH CAROLINA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Jake Weber was both the hitting and pitching star as the Fort Wayne team, Central, moved to 3-0 at the Big League World Series Friday with an 8-1 win over West.

Weber clubbed a first inning three run homer and drove in four runs with his bat, and on the mound threw five innings of one hit shutout ball for the win.

Fort Wayne got three hits and two RBIs from Andre Jernigan in running their record in the U.S. Pool to 3-0 with just one game remaining in pool play on Monday.

They are virtually assured a spot in Tuesday's U.S. semifinal, and a win in that game would put them in Wednesday's championship game..
