Dwenger, Carroll Nab Boys Golf Sectional Crowns

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Bishop Dwenger and Carroll score high school boys golf sectional triumphs on Friday.

At Brookwood in the South Side Sectional, the Dwenger Saints rode the 1-2 finish of Drake Eifert with a 71 and Jake Leonard with a 73 to a team score of 294 for the win.

Canterbury at 301 and Homestead at 313 got the other two team spots in next Thursday's regional at Orchard Ridge.

Robert Wray (75) and Dan Wert (77) of Concordia, and Aaron Hohman (77) of Northrop were the individual golfers to reach regional.

At Noble Hawk in the East Noble Sectional, Carroll took the team title with 305, led by the 70 of Oliver Gibson.

DeKalb at 318 and Garrett at 324 got the other two team slots at regional at Orchard Ridge from this sectional with their scores.

The individuals to reach regional from this sectional were Michael Sharp of East Noble (72) Austin Corcimiglia of Fremont (74, and Ryan Mayer of Churubusco (800, Mayer winning his spot in a playoff.
