Carroll Wins Wrestling Regional; Homestead Girls Swim Sectional

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Carroll's wrestlers and Homestead's girl swimmers took titles on Saturday.

Carroll won five weight classes and advanced eight wrestlers to next week's semi-state at the Memorial Coliseum, winning the team title at the Carroll Regional with 140 points.

Leo was second at 92, with two champs and six wrestlers moving on to semi-state.

Columbia City came in third, Wayne fourth, and Snider fifth.

At Brown Natatorium, Homestead won seven events and took the team title with 542 points, led by wins in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medlay from Reagan Cook.

Carroll was second with 455 points, and their effort was topped by Courtney Kreal's wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle races.

Third place Snider score 399, and also had a double winner in Hannah Miller, who won both the 200 and 500 freestyle.

The state meet is Saturday at Indianapolis.
