Carroll Sweeps Cross Country Semi-State Titles. *(VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - Favored Carroll took team wins in both the boys and girls cross country semi-states on Saturday at the Plex.

The Charger girls posted a score of 69 to edge Penn for the team title by four points.

The top six teams advance as teams to state next week at Terre Haute, and three through six in the girls meet were, Pendleton Heights, Northridge, Homestead and Huntington North.

The top ten individuals not on any of the top six teams also move on to state.

Penn's Maddie Woods was top individual at 18:10.36.

Carroll was a wider winner of the boys title with 71 points to 116 for second place Northridge.

Also advancing to state will be Bishop Dwenger, South Bend Riley, Homestead, and South Adams.

Concordia's Zach Panning was a winner by 39 seconds of the individual title at 15:19.36.
