Carroll Sweeps Cross Country Regionals

LIGONIER, Ind. (21 Alive) - Carroll as expected won both the boys and girls cross country regional Saturday at West Noble.

The Charger girls scored 42 points to pace the field, with Homestead second with 94, Concordia third with 107, Fremont fourth with 128, and Dwenger fifth at 134, and those five school advance as teams to state in Terre Haute next Saturday, as do the top ten individual finishers not on one of the top five teams.

Abby Hostetler of Fremont was top individual in 18:41.94.

Carroll's boys were best in their race with 50 points, ahead of the 64 by Dwenger, the 95 of Homestead, the 101 of Concordia, and the 126 of West Noble.

Zach Panning of Concordia topped the field individually at 15:28.24.
