UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - Both Carroll and later Homestead saw their baseball seasons end at regional on Saturday, while other schools were put on hold by weather.
NHC rivals Homestead and Carroll met in the 4A regional semifinals at Layafette with the Spartans reversing a regular season loss to the Chargers in a 5-3 win.
Lafayette Jefferson then downed Homestead in the final 8-5.
The entire 3A Bellmont Regional was washed out, with Norwell and Delta now set to meet at 5:30 on Monday, followed by Angola and NorthWood.
Rain held off at Whiting long enough for Adams Central to club Bremen 11-1 in six innings in the 2A Whiting Regional semifinal, but A.C.'s title game battle with Hammond Noll was put back to Monday by rain later in the day.
The whole 2A Wabash Regional also was posponed to Monday with one of the games to feature defending state champ Northfield and Lapel.
