ACAC Tournaments Begin; Tuesday Night HS Tournament Scores

UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - The 90th boys and 39th girls Allen County Athletic Conference basketball tournaments began Tuesday night at four sites, paring each tournament down to the semifinals.

In boys action, Jaylin Bennett hits for 17 points to pace Woodlan's 54-38 win over Adams Central, who got ten points from Isaac Luginbill.

The Warriors will meet Leo in one semifinal at the Memorial Coliseum Wednesday night after the Lions roared past South Adams 89-62, led by 17 points from Sam Waters.

Chase Mosser led the Starfires and all scorers with 29 points.

In the other boys games, Bluffton topped Heritage 51-47 and Southern Wells downed Garrett 53-48, and the Tigers and Raiders play in the second boys semifinal Wednesday night.

In girls action, Brandi Dawson showed the way with 21 points as Garrett took out Southern Wells at Garrett 42-29.

It sends the Railroaders against Heritage, and 59-24 winner over Bluffton in one girls semifinals Thursday night.

The other will pit Leo against Adams Central, as the Lions took out South Adams 40-30 led by Keanna Gary's 15 points, and A.C. ousted Woodlan 51-47 as Briona Case scored 18.
