Elmhurst, New Haven In 3A Regional Baseball Final; Adams Central Out In 2A

FORT WAYHE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Elmhurst and New Haven each used key home runs to advance to the 3A Bellmont baseball regional final with semifinal wins Monday night.

Kristian Gayday smashed a three run homer and added a two run double to lead Elmhurst to their 6-1 win over Yorktown in the first semifinal.

Justin Miller tied the game with a solo homer, and Lucas Salerno singled in the go ahead runs in the ninth inning in New Haven's 7-6 come from behind win over Tippecanoe Valley.

Elmhurst and New Haven meet Tuesday night for the title.

Also in baseball regional action, Adams Central, after a 4-3 semifinal win over Northfield, bowed out of the 2A Wabash regional with an 8-7 loss to Delphi Monday night.
