Bishop Luers Retires Deshaun Thomas' #1 Jersey

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Bishop Luers on Friday retired the number 1 jersey of Indiana Mr. Basketball Deshaun Thomas, the first time the school has ever retired the number of any of its athletes.

Thomas led the Knights to two 2A boys state basketball titles, ended up the third all time leading scorer in indiana boys high school basketball history, and in addition to being named Mr. Basketball was also named a McDonald's All American.

Thomas has been the Indiana's NewsCenter Boys Basketball Player of the Year in each of the past three seasons.
