INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Bishop Luers forward Deshaun Thomas capped his senior season by being named Indiana's Mr. Basketball Sunday by the Indianapolis Star.
The 6-7 Ohio State bound Thomas averaged almost 32 points and over 15 rebounds a game as a senior, and ended up third on the all time Indiana boys basketball career scoring list with 3.018 points.
The McDonalds All American is the first Mr. Basketball from Fort Wayne since Jim Master of Harding in 1980, and the first from northeast Indiana since Luke Recker of DeKalb in 1997.
