Homestead Tops Carroll For 4A Regional Title

(Fort Wayne) - Bob Glover retired the final ten batters he faced and added a crucial sixth inning home run as Homestead took the 4A baseball regional title at Carroll with a 6-4 win over the Chargers.
Ryan Wright staked the victorious Spartans to a 3-0 lad with a three run homer in the first inning, but Carroll rallied for a 4-3 lead in the third on a two run double by Bryce Feller.
Homestead regained the lead on a Doug Schroeder RBI single in the fifth, and Glover's homer in the sixth finished the scoring.
Homestead advances to the 4A semistate in Lafayette Saturday.
