WOODBURN, Ind. (21Alive) - Woodlan High School football standout Jaylin Bennet celebrated Friday the signing of his national letter of intent to play football at Indiana State University.

Bennett was joined by family, coaches and teammates for the ceremonial signing.

Bennett came to Woodlan with head coach Sherwood Haydock when Harding High School closed. Bennett helped lay a foundation for the Warriors that Haydock looks to build on.

It has not determined what position Bennett will play for the Sycamores.

Bennett broke the single-game Woodlan rushing record with 310 yards Nov. 1 against Prairie Heights. He finished his senior season with more than 2,300 rushhing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns.
