FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - One of the top games in Northeast Indiana on Friday night will be a rematch of North Side and Snider in the Class 5A Sectional 12 Championship.

The Redskins (5A No. 11/10) beat the Panthers (5A No. 4/4), 27-13, at Spuller Stadium on Sept. 27 en route to an outright Summit Athletic Conference Championship.

"That was 6 weeks ago," North Side head coach Ryan Hall says. "They've got a tremendous coaching staff. They're talented, so we know they've gotten better over past six weeks. But you've got to give our kids credit too; because we've gotten better over six weeks."

Neither team has lost since the Week 6 regular season match-up. North Side's win streak dates has not lost since Sept. 20 at Mishawaka.

"It's a great opportunity for us to play for a championship," Snider head coach Kurt Tippmann says. "One that alluded us in the during the regular season. Our mind has been on that."

The Panthers are looking for their seventh straight sectional title. The Redskins have not won sectional crown since 1990.

"What better game than Snider/North Side for a sectional championship with both teams playing extremely well right now," Hall adds.

The winner of Snider at North Side has a good chance of advancing far in the state tournament. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Chambers Field.
