INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) - For the second year in a row, the Adams Central High School softball team fell just short of a state title.

The Lady Flying Jets lost the 2013 IHSAA 2A Softball State Championship to Indianapolis Scecina Memorial High School, 4-2.

Adams Central (22-7) took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning and added a second run in the sixth.

But the Lady Crusaders stormed back with all four of their runs in the sixth inning, giving them enough for the blue ribbons.

Adams Central center fielder Bess Fletcher, who scored one of the Jets' two runs, won the 2A Mental Attitude Award.
