T. Johnson, Byrd Key Purdue Win In Big Ten Opener

WEST LAFAYETTE (www.incnow.tv) - Terone Johnson scored 25 points and hit several key shots down the stretch as Purdue opened its Big Ten men;s basketball season with a 68-61 win over 12th ranked Illinois Wednesday night.

D.J Byrd added twelve points, and hit key back to back three pointers that elevated Purdue into the lead after Illinois had pulled out to a six point advantage.
