Soccer Lady Cougars Win 4th Straight

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (21 Alive) . -- Heather Jones didn't wait long to score the first of two goals and Saint Francis improved to 2-0 in Crossroads League play with a 3-0 win over Marian on Tuesday night.

It was USF's fourth consecutive win overall and its second consecutive shutout.

Jones scored at least one goal in the third consecutive game and has scored multiple goals in fourth matches this season. It was the sixth multi-goal match of her career.

Jones scored at 5:52 and headed in her second goal of the cool, clear, fall night at 36:33. Kayleigh West added USF's third goal at 58:52.

The Lady Cougars, 7-3 overall, resume Crossroads League action on Saturday at 7 p.m. at D'Arcy Stadium against Taylor.
