Purdue Men Rally Past Northwestern; Women Beaten At Ohio State

WEST LAFAYETTE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Robbie Hummel found his shooting eye for a season high 27 points as Purdue climbed to 6-6 in the Big Ten with an 87-77 win over Northwestern Sunday night.

The Boilermakers trailed briefly in the second half before going on a clinching run down the stretch for the victory.

D.J. Byrd added 21 points for Purdue.

John Shurna led Northwestern with 30 and Snider grad Reggis Hearn added 16 for Northwestern.

COLUMBUS, OHIO (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Purdue let a six point halftime lead slip away in an 80-71 women's basketball loss at Ohio State Sunday.

Samantha Prahalis led the Buckeyes with 26 points.

Brittany Rayburn paced Purdue with 22 in a loss that knocked the Boilermakers out of the Big Ten lead.
