South Bend (Indiana's NewsCenter)- Its a rivalry that dates back to 1887 but after 2014 the Notre Dame-Michigan rivalry will be on hold.
With Notre Dame's new commitment to play 5 ACC opponents a year the Michigan rivalry was the first to go to make room on the schedule.
Notre Dame athletic director, Jack Swarbrick has said that the Irish will continue to play Navy, Stanford and USC, so it comes as no surprise that the Big Ten games would have to be looked at.
Purdue head coach, Danny Hope said at his weekly presser that he has heard of no plans to end the Notre Dame-Purdue game which has been played every year since 1946.
