Late Goal Line Stand Preserves USF Playoff Opening Win. (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - Saint Francis repulsed Faulkner on a fourth and goal in the final minutes, then hit a key first down pass to retain the ball and run out the clock in a 20-13 NAIA opening round playoff victory on Saturday.

Jason Nicodemus ran for a touchdown, David Yoder hit Akeim Kelsaw with a pass for anorther and Emerson Ueber hit two field goals fot the USF scoring, as Saint Francis built a 20-7 lead at the half.

The visiting Cardinals got two TD passes from Josh Hollingsworth, but dropped him for a loss on fourth and goal to end the final Faulkner drive.

Yoder then hit Cam Smith with big first down completion that enabled USF to run out the clock.

Saint Francis will learn on Sunday who and where they will play next Saturday in the second round.
