FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - IPFW defeated Murray State in three sets on Friday night (25-12, 25-14, 25-8) ending day one of the Hyatt Place Fort Wayne / IPFW Invitational in women's college volleyball..

Emily Spencer led the team with 13 kills while Kendall Wienkes and Jessie Manwaring also impacted the match recording nine and eight respectively. A pair of freshman recorded their first collegiate kills against the Racers as Sarah Heckman ended the night with four and Katie Higginbotham earned one.

Megan Steenhuysen was the floor general against Murray State ending the contest with 32 assists.
