NOTRE DAME, Ind. (21 Alive) - Tommy Rees tossed a pair of touchdown passes and Luers grad Jaylon Smith made another key defensive play as Notre Dame held of Navy 38-34 on Saturday.
The lead changed hands eight times, with Tarean Folston's one yard leap over the top with 3:47 left giving Notre Dame the lead for good.
Navy did make a late run, but it was Smith busting up a reverse on a fourth and four in the final minute to preserve the win for the Irish, now 7-2.
