IU Rolls, Purdue Escapes In Men's Hoops Season Openers

UNDATED (21 Alive) - Indiana and Purdue each won their men's basketball season openers Friday night, IU easily, Purdue with difficulty.

Jeremy Hollowell had 16 points and Noah Vonleh eleven points with 14 rebounds as the Hoosiers rolled past Chicago State 100-72.

Yogi Ferrell also had eleven for Indiana.

Purdue just got past Northern Kentucky 77-76, led by the 18 points and five assists from Ronnie Johnson.

Jay Simpson added 14 and Erric Peck eleven for the Boilermakers
