IPFW Softball Season Ends With Tourney Title Game Loss (VIDEO)

FARGO, N.D (21 Alive) - IPFW's softball season was brought to a halt Sunday with a 12-5 loss against Summit League Tournament top seed North Dakota State in a winner-take-all final game of the Summit League Championships.

IPFW, which falls to 40-15 on the season, had seven hits in the game, one each from Larissa Franklin, Ashleigh Bousquet, Alex Bousquet, Hillary Kartman, Kayti Hanson, Dani Pugh, and Audrey Mintari. Pugh drove in four on a fifth-inning grand slam, giving her 60 RBIs for the season, a new IPFW and Summit League record. Franklin also drove in a run, as Alex Bousquet, Franklin, Pugh, Mintari, and Hanson each scored once.

For their efforts, Franklin, Alex Bousquet, Ashleigh Bousquet, and Kramer were all named to the All-Tournament Team.
