Golson Shines In Return As Irish Pound Rice

NOTRE DAME, Ind. (21 Alive) - Everett Golson celebrated his return to Notre Dame football by running for three touchdowns and passing for two more as the Irish thumped Rice 48-17 Saturday in their season opener.

Golson threw for 295 yards.

William Fuller and C.J. Prosise each caught a touchdown pass from Golson and Greg Bryant completed the scoring with a 17 yard run in the fourth quarter.
