Gaines Gets 32, But Dons Fall At Auburn

AUBURN, ALABAMA (www.incnow.tv) - Frank Gaines scored a career high 32 points, but it was not enough, as IPFW dropped a 61-50 decision at Auburn in the season opener for both teams.

The host Tigers trailed IPFW 27-23 at the half, but rallied with a 24-8 run to end the game.

Gaines accounted for almost two thirds of IPFW's scoring, with the next highest scorer being Joe Edwards with seven.

Frankie Sullivan led Auburn with 26 points.

IPFW shot just 28.8 percent from the field and hit just 4 of 20 three point attempts.

The Mastodons host Rochester on Tuesday.
