Colts' Wayne Out For Season With Torn ACL

INDIANAPOLIS (21Alive) - Indianapolis Colts wide receiver will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL on Sunday night against the Denver Broncos.

Wayne injured his knee in the fourth quarter while attempting to catch a pass in the Colts' 39-33. Wayne stayed down for a period of time, before being helped off the field. He was visibly upset on the sidelines.

"We'll get him through this, be there every step of the way with him," head coach Chuck Pagano said at a Monday press conference. "You just don't replace guys like 87; but he'll be back."

Wayne, 35, has played in 189 consecutive games, a streak that will halt ten short of the NFL record for wide receivers.

He has 38 receptions for 503 yards this season.
