Ball State Edges Kent State, Bowl Eligible

(Muncie, Indiana) -- Ball State quarterback Keith Wenning hit Willie Snead with a seven - yard touchdown pass with less than a minute and - a - half to play, lifting Ball State to a 27 - 24 victory over Kent State. Wenning finished with 305 yards passing and four touchdowns as the Cardinals improved to 6 - 1, 3 - 0 in the Mid American Conference. It was the 100 th career victory for Head Coach Pete Lembo as Ball State become bowl eligible for the third straight year.
