USF Men, Women Head To NAIA Basketball Nationals

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - St. Francis' men as the 15th overall seed will open the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Tournament against Black Hills State University at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Point Lookout, Missouri.

The Cougars (23-9) were No. 6 of the 11 at-large teams selected. USF is 2-2 in two previous NAIA Tournament appearances (1999-00 and 2006-07).

Black Hills State University is located in Spearfish, S.D. and is a member of the DAC (Dakota Athletic Conference).

The St. Francis women will open the Division II Women's Basketball National Championship on Wednesday against Aquinas at 11:15 a.m at Sioux City, Iowa..

This will be the second meeting between the two teams. as Aquinas won the regular season meeting at USF 81-70.

USF will be making its 12th appearance in the tournament in the last 16 seasons.
