Jon Coffman Introduced As New IPFW Head Coach

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Jon Coffman has officially taken the reigns of the men's basketball program at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Coffman was introduced at a press conference Thursday afternoon at IPFW Gates Center.

21Alive first reported Wednesday that Coffman would be promoted to the head coaching position.


Coffman served two seasons as an assistant coach to Tony Jasick, who resigned earlier this week to accept the head coaching job at Jacksonville University.

Coffman, who joined the IPFW staff in 2011, serving as the top assistant and main recruiter of program coming off a 25-win season and first NCAA Division I postseason appearance.
