WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - For the second day in a row, the Purdue men's basketball team has lost a center to transfer.
Jacob Lawson, a sophomore from Reidsville, N.C., was granted a release from his Boilermaker scholarship Friday.
"We enjoyed having Jacob as a member of our program," Purdue head coach Matt Painter said in a statement released by the university. "He's a quality young man."
Lawson played 58 games for the Boilers, and averaged 2.3 points per game.
There was no indication where Lawson will transfer to.
