BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU coach Les Miles is denying yet again
that he's interested in the head coaching job at Michigan.
Miles Tuesday released a statement in response to a "Detroit Free
Press" report that he'd spoken late last week with Michigan
athletic director Bill Martin and school president Mary Sue
Coleman.
Miles says his conversation "covered a wide range of
topics" and he was"doing nothing more than helping
them with their search for a football coach."
He insists he's not, and won't be, a candidate to succeed Lloyd
Carr as Wolverines coach.
Michigan's athletic department hasn't commented on the "Free
Press" report.
Miles leads top-ranked LSU against Ohio State in the national
championship game on January 7th
