14 Cougars Make All Conference, Kickoff 3:30 Saturday At Bethel

(Fort Wayne ) - University of Saint Francis sophomore Daniel Carter was a two-time first team selection on the 2007 Mid-States Football Association Mideast League team.

Carter was a first-team running back and first-team return specialist. Carter was one nine Cougars named first team and 14 selected first team, second team or honorable mention.

Brian Smiley was a first-team selection at offensive tackle for the second season in a row along with teammate Josh Ekovich at the other offensive tackle slot. On defense, end Tim Farrell earned a second straight first-team selection. William Knepper was a second-team selection, his third consecutive season as either a first or second-team selection.

First-time selections along with Daniel Carter included Defensive Back Paul Carter, linebacker Carl Thomas Donavon Evans wide receiver Bo Thompson, defensive end Vincent Price, Cody Capps and quarterback Jeff Wedding . Zack Rainey was a first-team selection at wide receiver in 2006.

The Cougars' second round NAIA playoff game at Bethel will kick off at 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
