SEATTLE, Washington (21 Alive) - Fort Wayne native Eric Wedge has chosen not to return to manage the Seattle Mariners in 2014.
Wedge was in the final year of a contract to manage the team he took over three years ago.
He was forced to leave the team during the season for about a month due to a mild stroke that he says he has completely recovered from.
Wedge was said to be unhappy with the Mariners making no moves concerning his future after this season.
The Northrop High School graduate will manage the Mariners for the final games of the regular season this weekend.
