FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Water on the field caused a slight delay Wednesday during the Fort Wayne TinCaps' game with Great Lakes.

No, it was not a rain delay that stopped the game for 18 minutes; but rather, a sprinkler delay.

In the fifth inning, Fernando Perez chases a foul ball when he steps on a hose in the bullpen along the first base line.

The busted hose shot water high into the air, raining down on the TinCaps pitching staff and fans--many of them children on school field trips.

The play was even featured on ESPN's broadcast of Baseball Tonight.

In the end, the Loons beat the TinCaps, 15-4.
