TinCaps Gets First 2014 Win In South Bend In 12 (VIDEO)

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (21 Alive) - Ryan Miller hit his team leading eighth homer with one out in the 12th inning to break a 1-1 tie and the TinCaps scored a 3-1 win in South Bend Friday night, their first win their after three early season losses.

Josh VanMeter added a run scoring single in the 12th for an important insurance run.

The teams were held down by great pitching on both sides in the regulation nine innings, with Franmil Reyes singling in the Fort Wayne run in the first and South Bend then pulling even in the fifth.

The four game series and seven game road trip continues Saturday night.
