Dayton, OH - The Dayton Dragons scored seven runs in their final two innings, turning a 5 - 1 deficit into an 8 - 5 win Sunday afternoon over the Fort Wayne TinCaps. An eighth - inning grand slam from Beau Amaral was the difference - maker, putting the Dragons in the lead for good.
As Fort Wayne, 12 - 22, 55 - 48, did on Saturday night, it took an early lead on Sunday afternoon. Corey Adamson singled home Gabriel Quintana in the second inning, and Diego Goris used a third - inning sacrifice fly to score Mallex Smith, giving the TinCaps a 2 - 0 lead. That advantage expanded in the sixth inning when Luis Domoromo hit a solo home run to right field. But, the bullpen couldn't hold the lead and the TinCaps fell to the Dragons for the second straight day.
